As Waterstone Mortgage Corporation’s Sales Manager, Troy Mlenar’s mission is about more than the mortgage. It’s about alleviating financial stress to allow us to build strength -strength in finances, strength in families, and strength in communities – and homeownership is the way.

Troy is truly passionate about the mortgage business. He has worn many hats in his 14 years experience in the mortgage industry. This has shaped his unique understanding and overall appreciation of the entire mortgage process and allows him to offer a unique value proposition for both his clients as well as his business partners. Troy’s primary talents are dealing with realtors/financial planners/divorce attorneys, recruiting, solving problems and negotiating. The result is that 100% of his business comes from referrals from satisfied clients, trusted professionals, and some of the best realtors in the Twin Cities.

Troy believes the role of the mortgage professional is to guide the client through the entire mortgage process, making sure they understand and are comfortable with every step of the loan process and all available options. He believes his job and the job of his colleagues is to be financial educators. Throughout his career, Troy has received many distinguished designations such as Certified Mortgage Planning Professionals, Certified Divorce Planning Professionals, MMS, Homes for Heroes Chief Officer, Life/Sales Mastery, etc.

On a personal level, Troy grew up in Rochester MN and attended John Marshall High. After graduation he enrolled at St. Cloud State University. While there he found the passion for Rugby. Troy spent many years playing Rugby and developed some of his greatest friendships there. Troy’s greatest gift and joy in this world are his two sons, Aidan and Nate. He particularly enjoys watching them grow and experience all of what life has to offer. When he is not working for his clients in the mortgage industry, you’ll find Troy with his boys. NMLS #332291
